1 How long will it take to get my membership activated if I pay via foreign bank transfer?
Answer:
It takes between 10 – 15 days to clear in our bank account
2 When can I receive my membership card?
Answer:
A confirmation of membership letter will be e-mailed to you as soon as your membership is activated. You may visit the Momentum Health mobisite to access your membership records. We will only issue a card if your cellphone can not access internet sites.
3 I have lost my membership card, how do I go about getting one?
Answer:
- Contact our Customer Care Department and request for your card to be posted to you.
- We have on-site consultants at various Institutions where you could request/collect cards.
4 How soon can I receive confirmation of membership?
Answer:
Within 24 hours after submitting a fully completed application, payment confirmation, passport copy & proof of studies ie. letter from University / Institution. The letter will be e-mailed to you.
5 What postal address can I use, if I'm not yet in S.A.?
Answer:
Please provide the University postal address if a valid S.A postal address is not yet established. Once you have confirmed your accommodation, please contact us to update your address.
6 When should my membership start date be?
Answer:
Apply for membership from the 1st of the month that you arrive in S.A. / usually the month you register for studies.
8 What is a Mobsite?
Answer:
A mobisite is a website designed or customised for mobile devices, such as cellphones, iPads, PDAs and similar products.
9 What is so special about the mobisite?
Answer:
On the mobisite, users can:
- find a healthcare provider nearest to them
- View membership details
- Send proof of membership
- View claims histories and more
10 Once I've joined can membership be renewed and paid monthly thereafter?
Answer:
Membership can be renewed but not payable monthly. Please refer to the conditions of your study permit and University/Learning Institution registration requirements for duration of cover. |
