Should death occur away from home, a case manager at Europ Assistance SA will make all the arrangements in the event of death. Repatriation is arranged when the deceased’s body is more than 100km from their place of residence, within South Africa and neighbouring countries e.g. Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique etc including International repatriations. All the arrangements to transport mortal remains as requested by the family are managed and special care is taken to consider particular customs and beliefs.
